This is it! Our last show of the year before we go into hibernation for the winter (well, December) will be on Monday 4 November and has a terrific line-up including a headline set from the mighty Phil Pagett.
Phil is a professional comedian and joke-writer from Birmingham, described by Gary Delaney as “One of the country’s best new gag writers.”
He has been performing since 2010, and his act features a combination of one-liners and wry observations. In addition to live work he has written for Mock the Week and BBC Radio 4.
A quickfire gag-merchant in the tradition of Stewart Francis, Milton Jones and Emo Philips, Phil’s act is ‘an unusual routine of, smartly crafted and vastly diverse one-liners takes his audiences on an amusingly clever ride’ (Funhouse Comedy).
Plus there will also be sets from regular Eric Rushton, Louis Fletcher, Rachel Page, Aman Singh Randawa and the wonderful Kieran Flynn
Kieran is one-half of the award-winning double-act Good Kids – nominees for Leicester Comedy Festival Best New Show 2022 and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2020 as well as ‘Comedy’s ones to watch for 2022’ (Chortle). “Stupid, daft, at times nonsensical. Just how I love my comedy.” (Johnny Vegas)
All this for just £4 at The Royal Pug on Monday 4 November. Starts at 8pm, done by around 10pm.
