Reckless Comedy with Sara Pascoe and John Robins

UPDATE: We’re rescheduling the Brendon Burns show to later in the year because of unavoidable logistics issues, but we still have two great previews for you!

MONDAY MAY 6TH
Doors 8pm, Show 8:30pm
Entry £3 (Season passes for 7 shows – £12)

Sara Pascoe
A regular on Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week, Sara’s comedy is raw and autobiographical, and a little bit political. You may also recognise her from her supporting roles in sitcoms such as Twenty Twelve, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, The Thick of It and Campus.

“Sharp, unpredictable, and often brutally funny” **** – The Skinny
“She’s got a lot to say for herself, but a winningly self-deprecating way of doing so” **** – Daily Telegraph

John Robins—Where Is My Mind?
Alter egos, ailments, love, nostalgia, indie-nights and belly-laughs. An hour of raucous stand-up for anyone who’s tried to live in the moment, only to realise that moment happened over a decade ago.

Seen on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3), 8 Out Of 10 Cats: Deal Or No Deal Mash-up (Channel 4). ‘Comedy’s best kept secret’ ****(Skinny). ‘Captivating’ **** (Chortle.co.uk). ‘Laughed so much my lungs hurt’ *****(Threeweeks). ****(Fest). *****(Edfest.com). ****(Skinny). ****(List). ‘A complete and utter natural’ (Russell Howard). ‘One of the most naturally gifted comedians I’ve seen’ (Telegraph).

Reckless Comedy Presents: The Over the Hill Gang

For one week only we are being taken over!

MONDAY MARCH 4TH
Doors 8pm, Show 8:30pm
Entry £3

Fed up of floppy haired 25 year old comedians who live with their parents?

Tired of 30 year old comics telling everyone how difficult it is growing
old?

Well come along and see what the over 40s can do – 5 of the region’s oldest comedians come together for a night of comedy. What they lack in youth they make up for in experience. They might be losing hair in some places and growing more where they don’t want it but these boys can still deliver.

They’ve forgotten more about comedy than the youngsters will ever know…. And every day they forget a little bit more…

FEATURING
Rob Coleman
Colin Harris
Fred Ferenczi
And the return of Ian Crawford from the Sheffield Steel Cutlery Association.
