June 3rd

Paul McCaffrey: Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellylaughs
You can take the boy out of Glastonbury… Paul seeks to emulate bands reforming for 20th anniversary classic album tours by reuniting his old raving crew at a festival, with the words “Come on Paul, you’re not 18 anymore”, ringing in his ears. Is this really such a good idea? A hilarious, engaging hour of stand-up. As seen on Russell Howard’s Good News.
‘Likeable, animated and fluid with a first-rate sense of timing’ – Chortle

Anthony King: Songs of Love and Death
Experienced comedian Anthony King brings his dark, dead-pan songs and stand-up to Leamington Spa.
‘Outstanding’ – The Scotsman. ‘The gags get better and better.‘- The Guardian.

Jonathan Elston
The carbon footprint that Jonathan has created since his career began is big enough to have destroyed a football pitch sized hole in the Brazilian rainforest. Despite the havoc he is wreaking on the rainforests Jonathan is steadfast in his focus and continues to be one of the most sought after young acts working the circuit.
‘Reminiscent of a young, cheaper Ricky Gervais’ – Paul Kerensa

Owen Niblock: Codemaker
Owen’s life is out of control, how can he regain control? With his trusty laptop and some development skills. Join him as he shares his tale of love, life & computer programming.
‘Ground-breaking’ – The Scotsman. ‘A very funny man’ – Russell Howard. ‘Inspired and offbeat’ – Chortle

Diane Spencer: Exquisite Bad Taste
Her first Edinburgh show charted her dreams and aspirations; her second show All Pervading Madness was one journey home via hell and all its inhabitants. Exquisite Bad Taste is the fallout that followed; the invitations abroad, the backlash at home and the personal struggle of getting through her younger sister’s wedding without punching the cake. A new perspective in womanhood, being ginger and being filthy.
‘Indiscreetly brilliant’ – The Scotsman. ‘Raucously entertaining’ Chortle

Aaron Twitchen: Quarter Life Crisis
Ever felt crazier than Mel Gibson in a synagogue? You may have had a quarter-life crisis! Join him as he tackles his issues and diagnoses yours. The world may be your oyster but it’s sticky, icky and not very nice.
‘…certainly something to look out for.’ – Artshub.co.uk. Scotsgay pick of the Free Fringe 2011.

June 4th

Gareth Morinan: Truth Doodler
Uniquely innovative debut solo hour featuring: characters, doodles, animation, data-analysis, and limited edition free artwork!
As seen on BBC2/HBO in “Life’s Too Short”, “The Culture Show” and “Vexed”. ‘Clever, funny and original, ****’ – The Skinny

Harriet Dyer: What a Palaver
“What A Palaver” -Recently rejiggled tales of palaversome girth!
Harriet strongly believes that she lives in a recently modified version of ‘The Truman Show,’ due to the fact that shizzle often seems too fooked up to not be staged!
‘She’s got funny bones!’ – Kevin Bridges.
‘Not just your average female comic, lovely and engaging off the wall stories and stage presence!’ – Nottingham Comedy Festival.

Jay Foreman’s Mixtape
Fresh from supporting Dave Gorman’s UK tour, Jay combines the best of his sell-out Edinburgh shows and some exciting new bits in an irresistible hour of multi award-winning musical comedy. ‘Sharp, sophisticated… classy and funny’ **** – Chortle.co.uk

Jack Heal’s Murderhton
Jack Heal (Chortle Student Comedian 2008) is a man with an axe to grind. A literal axe. Join him in his debut show, Murderthon: a tale of vengeance, death threats and unexpected sentence endings. ‘Endearingly funny’ The Scotsman

Reckless Comedy
Join festival host Dean Love for our regular Monday night of new acts, old acts doing new material, and biscuits. Headline act TBA.
